The Trojans competed well at the Florida State Invitational, their last road meet of the season.
“The teams are still improving,” said Coach Casey McDermott. “We had a lot of great individual performances today as well.”
The women's team finished 10th out of 17 teams, with another top performance from Morgan Paulson. She finished 45th with a time of 19:50.37 on the 5K course.
“Morgan had another great week for us,” said Coach McDermott. “She continues to push through, even in the awful humidity we had today.”
Haley Davies and Agnes Kapsoiyo finished 60th and 61st respectively. Davies ran a time of 20:26:87, setting a new personal record for herself.
Kendall Harris also set a new personal record running a time of 22:16.08 on the 5K course.
“The women really performed well today,” said Coach McDermott. “Haley and Kendall both set a PR, and I was very proud of them.”
The men finished 14th as a team, with David Hudman leading the Trojans for the second week in a row with a time of 28:14.13.
“David looked very strong racing again today,” said Coach McDermott.
Kemper Morton finished 88th for the Trojans with a time of 28:54.71, and Alec Hamm was close behind finishing 95th with a time of 29:13.39.
The Trojans will have a two week break as they prepare for their last meet, the Coach “O” Invitational at home.
