TROY Adds Three for 2011 Season

TROY, Ala. (TroyTrojans.com) - The Troy University soccer program added three players for the 2011 season; reaching into Mississippi, Florida and England for the additions to the squad.

“Adding these three to an already stellar class and squad is very exciting," TROY head coach Chris Bentley said. "They are quality athletes and people that want to get better and understand what it takes to achieve that on and off the field. They are going to be tremendous representatives for Troy University. The 2011 season cannot come soon enough!”

The players added to the squad include Georgia Wallis, a defender/midfielder from Spalding High School in England. She was a All-Gloucester County Cup Winner, helped the team win the ECFA National Championship. Wallis also played club soccer for Bristol Academy WFC and also played for ECFA England National Team (national team). Wallis is the daughter of daughter of Marilyn and Grant Wallis.

Also joining the Trojans for the 2011 season is Karina Moore, defender/midfielder from Ocean Springs High School in Mississippi. She was the defensive most valuable player and the overall most valuable player of the team. Moore was selected as a Mississippi All Star, while being named All-State in the 400-meters and 800-meters in track and field. She also played for the Houston Dynamo (Gulf Coast United) and represented the National Team of Guyana in the Gold Cup. She is the daughter of Janet and Pahl Moore.

The third player added for 2011 is Corinne Crowley, a midfielder from JR Arnold High School in Florida She was named the team MVP, All-State, All-County and All-Star. She is a WMBB Scholar-Athlete and was the varsity captain. She plays club soccer for Bay United Soccer Club and is a member of the Florida State ODP team. She is thedaughter of Kathleen and Stephen Crowley.
