Trojans Host ETSU In Rematch

In the first of two straight home games, the Troy men's basketball team faces a familiar foe in the East Tennessee State Buccaneers, on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at Sartain Hall.

Just nine days ago, the Trojans fell, 81-71, on the Buccaneers' home floor in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Troy (2-3) is coming off a it's first road win of the year, rallying from eight points down in the second half to knock off the Southern Utah Thunderbirds, 80-76, on Saturday night.

Against the Thunderbirds, Troy had four players in double-figures, including junior guard Will Weathers, who scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half in the Trojans first win over a non-conference opponent on the road since December 4, 2009.

ETSU (3-1) needed a last second three-pointer from junior guard Jarvis Jones to defeat Charlotte on the road, 70-69. Troy will be the Buccaneers second opponent in a six-game road swing for ETSU.

In the team's first meeting, Marcus Dubose tallied a season-high 27 points against the Trojans, while ETSU's pressure on defense forced 17 Troy turnovers in the November 19^th matchup.

This game will be the first home game for the Trojans since November 13, when Troy took down LaGrange, 116-63.

Troy will also take on the Miami (OH) University on Saturday, December 3, at 7:00 p.m. Last season, the Trojans fell to the Redhawks on the road, 80-73.
