Former Troy Trojan Agata Cichoszewska competed in two events at the Polish Nationals
Just a year removed from her final collegiate event, former Troy University track and field star Agata Cichoszewska decided to test the waters against some of the best. The best, that is, of her country at the Polish Nationals recently.
The school record holder in both the long jump and triple jump, the former Trojan had aspirations of a high finish at Nationals, and did just that as she became the fifth Trojan to compete in their country's national championships.
She joined O'Darien Bassett and Tawanna Meadows (2008), as well as Leander McKenzie and Tiphanie Baker (2010) who competed at the US Nationals.
Cichoszewska left the championships disappointed, by her standards, with a fifth place finish in the triple jump and a ninth place in the long jump. The former Trojan jumper finished with a distance of 12.94 meters in the triple jump and 5.81 meters in the long jump.
She will return to Troy in August and join the Trojans coaching staff as a staff assistant.
