Trojans Defeat Wofford

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Troy University men's tennis team completed their weekend sweep of the state of South Carolina, defeating Wofford College 6-1 at the Reeves Tennis Center Sunday afternoon.
The Trojans swept through doubles play, only being tested at number two when the team of Branko Weber and Xavier Masson defeated the Wofford team of Stuart Robertson and Tom Wood, 9-7.
Meanwhile, at number one the team team of Luis Henrique Grangeiro and Mario Rolemberg continued their impressive play this season as they defeated the Wofford team of Paul Bartholomy and Alan Donald, 8-3; before the team of Anas Rouchdi and Guilherme Sahadi defeated the team of Drew Superstein and Tinsu Van Wyk 8-4 to complete the sweep.
In singles play, Troy (5-2) won all but one match and swept the top two positions on the day. Luis Henrique Grangeiro defeated Tinsu Van Wyk 6-0, 6-4 at number one; while Aurelien Tave defeated Stuart Robertson 6-4, 6-2 at number two. The only loss came at number three, but the Trojans rebounded with a win at number four when Anas Rouchdi defeated Paul Bartholomy 7-5, 6-4.
The Trojans won their last two matches of the day - number five and number six singles - by the identical score of 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7) as the match was decided before their matches were complete, forcing them into a super set in the final set of the day.
