Coach O Invitational Set for April

TROY, Ala. - The Troy University track and field program will host the annual Coach O Invitational at the Jesse H. Colley Track/Soccer Complex on Saturday, April 24.
The track has seen its share of records fall in the last two seasons, including 20 two years ago. This season, the Trojans track and field program will look for more records to fall as they host the meet next month.
MEET INFORMATION: The track is an 8 year old APS Polyurethane 400-meter, with 8 - 42" lanes. All jumps and javelin approaches contested on same surface. Only ¼" spikes allowed. Brushed concrete shot, discus, and hammer rings will be used. Timing will be by CFPI Timing & Data.
Teams Attending: Per NCAA rules, No high school teams or unattached high school athletes may participate. This is an open meet only for Universities, Colleges, and Unattached Collegiate/Post-Collegiate Athletes.
Entry Process: Go to www.coacho.com. All teams will be allowed 3 entries per event; unlimited in 800 and up and all field events.
Entry Deadline: Must be received no later than Tuesday, April 20th, 2010 at midnight.
Entry Fee: $200 per team ($300 for men's and women's combined)
Teams make checks payable to "Troy Track Foundation".
$20 per unattached/individual entries. Individual entries must pay online at www.coacho.com.
AWARDS: Event and relay winners will receive Coach "O" T-Shirts.
Athlete Check-In:
All athletes must check in 30 minutes prior to their event.
Runners go to Clerk of Course and Field Events to venue site.
Schedule of Events (Complete Schedule attached):
Field Events will begin at 10:00am. A 30 minute warm-up period will be allowed for all field events that will follow after a concluding field event.
Running events begin at 12:30pm. No races longer than 3000 meters. All running events will be run as finals in sections based on time.
Heats will be seeded according to submitted times on www.coacho.com. Check in at the finish line/curve of the track.
Starting Heights/ Minimum Measurements: Please see attached handout for all starting heights and minimum measurements for the field events.
Results: Will be available at www.cfpitiming.com
Athletic Training: Will be located near the entrance of the stadium and will be available for use throughout the event. Water will be available throughout the track complex.
Showers: There are NO shower facilities available. Please plan accordingly.
Refreshments: Available at the facility Concessions Stand.
