Troy to Host Basketball Pep Rally Thursday

Pep Rally to feature AD Steve Dennis and both head coaches
The Troy Athletic Department will host a pep rally for the upcoming 2010-11 basketball seasons on Thursday afternoon at 5:30 pm in Sartain Hall.
Both the pep band and Troy cheerleaders will be present. The pep rally will feature a few minutes with Troy athletic director Steve Dennis, who will give those in attendance an update on the construction of the new Trojan Arena.
Following the introduction by Dennis, Troy's head basketball coaches Don Maestri and Michael Murphy will give attendees an inside look into their teams. Both the men's and women's teams will also be introduced.
Following the pep rally, fans are encouraged to stick around and watch an open practice of the 2010 Sun Belt Conference champion Troy men's basketball team.
The event is open to the public and the first 100 students in the doors will receive the new "M&M" (Maestri and Murphy) Madness t-shirts and will have a chance to enter a drawing for a new Troy polo shirt that will be given away at halftime of the men's season opener against Huntington College on Friday, November 12.
Players from both teams will be made available to sign posters throughout the night.
