Troy Faces FIU on Saturday

MIAMI – After winning their first three Sun Belt games, the Troy Trojans suffered their first loss on Thursday at Florida Atlantic. They have a chance to bounce back on Saturday.
Saturday's contest will be the first opportunity for Troy to get back in the win column after falling 83-69 on Thursday in FAU's “Burrow”. Troy turned the ball over 18 times and despite out-shooting the Owls, fell to 3-1 in league games.
The contest with FIU will also serve as an opportunity for the Trojans to gain a measure of revenge. Alex Galindo's 3-pointer while falling out of bounds with three seconds left gave the Golden Panthers an 87-86 victory.
A third story line is Troy's first meeting with Isiah Thomas. The rookie head coach has led his team to a 5-13 record in his first year at the helm the FIU program.
The game will be played following the conclusion of the women's game. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 pm central time. Barry McKnight will bring you all the action from courtside beginning at 5:30 pm on the Troy ISP Network.
