NEW ORLEANS - The Troy University women's track and field program moved up 48 spots in this week's USTFCCCA poll, coming in at 59th overall out of 201 total teams in Division I-A track and field.
The Trojans have three different student-athletes ranked in the top 50 in the nation in their respective events, earning points in the poll. Senior Agata Cichoszewska and junior Tiphanie Baker both appear twice in the polls, while Baker is just on the outside in a third event which would earn the Trojans more points in the polls.
Baker has earned the most points for the Trojans this season with 17.06 total points in the discus with her eighth-place ranking with a throw of 53.15 meters (174'4') back on April 4. Meanwhile, she is earning 0.08 points in the hammer with her 49th-place national ranking on a throw of 53.02 meters (183'9) back on April 3.

The jump was recorded this past week at the Coach O Invitational and is the second longest jump in the conference and the ninth-best jump in the country this season. She is also earning 0.17 points for her 45th-ranked long jump of 6.11 meters (20'0.50") at the Coach O Invitational this past weekend.
Redshirt sophomore Latoya Ragland is the final member of the team earning points for the Trojans, has she has earned 0.66 points for the Trojans with her time of 13.58 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, which is the 35th-best time in the country this season.
The Trojans are the highest ranked Sun Belt Conference team in the polls this week, with FIU coming in at 65th. They are also the 15th-highest ranked team out of the non-BCS conference schools in this week's poll, with two of those teams ranked in the Top 25.
In order for a team to receive points in the rankings, the institution must have a student-athlete ranked in the top 50 in their event and that student-athlete must have met the NCAA regional qualifying mark.
