Cichoszewska Captures Another Honor

For the secong time this season, Agata Cichoszewska of Troy captured medalist honors in both the long jump and triple jump at the Sewanee Tiger Indoor Invitational. Set personal bests in both events in indoor competition, posting a jump of 5.60 meters (18 feet 4½ inches) in the long jump, and 12.67 meters (41 feet, 7 inches) in the triple jump. Her performance in the triple jump met the NCAA provisional qualifying standard and was the second best in school history. She also ran a leg on the 4x400 relay, helping that squad medal with a time of 4:06.8. She also competed in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 28.74 seconds.
In men's track South Alabama Zac Edwards was rewarded for his performance this past weekend. Edwards ran a NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 14:09.45 in the 5,000-meter run at the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame Friday, and captured a third-place finish. Edwards' finishing time is the fastest in the Sun Belt Conference this season, and the seventh-fastest time in the nation. It also marked his third consecutive top-three finish in just his third distance race this season.

In men's field Toby Edwards of North Texas had his best jump of the season this past Saturday at the UH All-Comers Meet, finishing third with a height of 6'8.25”. That mark was the best by all collegiate jumpers in the competition and gave Edwards the second best height in the Sun Belt Conference this season.
