WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The final stage of the PGA Tour Q-School concluded Monday afternoon with a former Trojan narrowly missing qualifying for his first ever season of the PGA Tour.
Josh Broadaway, a 2000 graduate of Troy, had a tough final round as he posted a 6-over par 78. His six round total of 6-under par 426 left Broadaway three strokes back of the final spot to earn a PGA Tour card.
However, the news isn't all bad for Broadaway. His scored placed him 40th among the 170 golfers in the field, which earns him exempt status for the Nationwide Tour next season.
Another former Trojan, Ben Bates, also participated in the final stage, however, he struggled throughout the week and posted a 6-over par score. He did shoot his best round of on Monday with a 2-under par 70.
