TROY ? The Troy Trojans men's basketball team is looking to match its longest winning streak of the season when they house Louisiana Lafayette on Saturday in Sun Belt Conference men's basketball action.
Troy (7-9, 2-2 SBC) has won two in a row during a three-game home stretch and with a win on Saturday, would match their longest winning streak of the season. The Trojans won three games in a row from November 21-29.
Juniors Richard Delk (13.7 ppg) and Brandon Hazzard (12.4 ppg) have born the scoring load for the Trojans so far this season. Another junior, Michael Vogler, has scored in double-figures in five of the Trojans' last seven games, averaging 12.9 ppg during that stretch.
The Louisiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns (5-9, 2-2 SBC) are led by Travis Bureau at 15.4 ppg. Recently, ULL has welcomed back Randell Daigle from injury and he's scoring 15.0 ppg in just four games played.
Tip-off for Saturday's game will be approximately 7:30 pm, following the conclusion of the women's game between Troy and the Cajuns. At halftime of both games one lucky fan will be given an opportunity to win five thousand dollars courtesy of Troy University.
