Trojans Face League Leading ULM

MONROE, La.? The Trojans will play the final three games of their 12-game road trip when they face league leading Louisiana Monroe this weekend in a three game series.

ULM enters the series with a chance to clinch the Sun Belt Conference championship in just its second year in the league.

The Trojans will look to play to role of spoiler as they try to make a final run for the title.

With a three-game sweep of the Trojans, ULM (31-17, 19-8) will clinch its first conference championship since 2002.

The Warhawks carry a two-game lead over UNO into this weekend's action. The games against Troy (28-21, 14-10) are the final league games of the season for ULM, while the remainder of the league plays next weekend.

Junior right-hander Drew Graham (2-2, 6.30) will get the call in the opener opposite Troy's Tim Wheeler (3-6, 5.28). Wheeler is coming off of a loss last weekend at MTSU.

Righty Ryan Ellison (3-3, 5.58) will toe the rubber on Saturday with Kyle Smith (3-1, 3.82) getting his third consecutive Saturday start for the Warhawks.

Troy will send right-hander Jeff Green (2-4, 8.81) to the hill on Sunday while the Warhawks are undecided on their game-three starter.

First pich Friday night is set for 7 pm. Saturday's game will start at 4 pm with the Sunday finale slated for 1pm.
