Brown Joins Regional Qualifiers

ATLANTA, Ga. - Senior Desmond Brown became the 13th different athlete from the Troy University track & field program to qualify for the NCAA Mideast Region with his performance in the 400-meter hurdles at the Georgia Tech Invitational Saturday afternoon.

Brown ran a time of 52.37 seconds in the fourth heat, finished second in the heat. He also finished 13th overall in the event, but he qualified for the region by meeting the standard of 52.51 seconds.

Brown will be competing in the single event on the campus of the University of Arkansas May 30-31, with the 12 other athletes will be competing in 17 other events over the two-day period.
