Lewis Makes First Cut at Phoenix

PHOENIX - Former Troy University Trojan guard, Amy Lewis, made the first cut of the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury this week and will travel with the team for their preseason opener on the East Coast.
Lewis, a 1500-point scorer for the Trojans during her career, will suit up for the Mercury against the New York Liberty and the Connecticut Sun in the opening of the 2008 WNBA preseason.
"This is a great opportunity for Amy," Troy head coach Michael Murphy said. "She just has to take it one day at a time."
