Soccer Concludes Spring Schedule

TROY - The Troy Trojans soccer team ended their spring schedule last weekend at the Troy Soccer Complex with an awards ceremony.
Freshman Karla Smith was named Player of the Year for her outstanding play in goal for the Trojans in 2007. Fellow freshman midfielder Ceil Martinec was named Newcomer of the Year.
Freshman Megan Waite, who missed the 2007 season due to injury, was named Scholar Athlete of the Year for Troy Soccer. Additionally, senior Erin Kniery was honored with the Trojan Award.
“These players were all deserving of these awards,” head coach Chris Bentley said.
“We could not be more proud of them for the accomplishments they have made on and off the field.”
