Rudolph Qualifies for NCAA Regionals

BATON ROUGE,
Rudolph jumped a season-best 6.04 meters in the long jump, surpassing the six-meter
mark needed to qualify. She also participated in three other events for
the Trojans; running a time of 14.54 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, 25.73
seconds in the 200-meters and throwing a distance of 10 meters in the shot put
to complete her day.
However, she was not the only Trojan who set marks on Saturday as Leander McKenzie broke the school record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.10 seconds. He broke the mark he set last weekend, 14.11 seconds, at the LSU Tiger Invitational. He also competed in the 100-meters and in the 400-meters.
Mike Conley participated in his first meet in three weeks after injury, competing in two events. He ran a time of 51.38 seconds in the 400-meters.
Tim Landry and Drew Horner ran close to four-minute mark in the 1500-meters, with Landry crossing in 4:01.53 and Horner in 4:02.08. Michael Niezgoda finished in a time of 1:55.77 in the 800-meters for the Trojans.
One week after qualifying for the 200-meters, Lamar Hicks just missed
bettering his time of 21.12 seconds. Meanwhile, Monique Jordan finished third in the discus with a distance of 47.27 meters, while Tiphanie Baker finished with a distance of 46.66 meters.
