Tawanna Meadows Earns Honor ... Again

TROY, Ala. - Troy University senior Tawanna Meadows was awarded with her second consecutive Sun Belt Conference Athlete of the Week in Track & Field for her performance at the FSU Relays, announced by the conference office this afternoon.
Meadows, who qualified in the 100-meters last week, ran a faster time in the event this week to break her school record that she set in the Snowbird Invitational last week. The time was clocked as the fastest time in the Sun Belt Conference this season for Meadows, at 11.54 seconds.
Not only did Meadows set the bar in the 100-meters, she was also part of two other school records that fell this past week at the FSU Relays. Meadows ran on the Sprint Medley Relay and 4x200-meter relay teams that set school records. In the Sprint Medley, Meadows helped the team run a time of 3:59.84, while in the 4x200-meter relay the team ran a tmie of 1:37.49.
Meadows becomes the first two-time winner of the Athlete of the Week in the Sun Belt Conference this season.
