"This is a great honor for Amy," coach Michael Murphy said. "I am sure she will share this with her teammates, with the type of season that she has had. She has been named to every All-Tournament Team we have played at, and was named Most Outstanding Player in Tulsa."
The senior from
Lewis leads the Sun Belt Conference in three-point field goals made per game at 2.18, and is second in free throw percentage (80 percent) and minutes played per game (36.50). She is also fifth in three-point goal percentage in the conference, connecting on 37 percent of her attempts; and she is also ranked 14th in the conference in steals, averaging 1.5 per game.
She also ranks in the top 100 in the nation in three-point field goals made per game and three-point field goal percentage.
The senior will leave the university as one of the elite scorers in school history, scoring 1,544 points in her career ? good for fifth all-time. She also is in the top five in several categories, and is the school's all-time leader in free throw percentage for a career with over 200 made.
"It is a little disappointing that Kylie Morrissy did not make one of the three teams," Murphy said. "She has had an outstanding year, and to be ranked sixth in the conference in scoring, I think, should have warranted her an opportunity to make the team."
