Trojans Try to Avoid Sweep at Arizona State

“This is a big series for us and our team,” coach Bobby Pierce said. “First of all, it is exciting to play the best team in college baseball but it is also a good trip for our team. Most of the guys have never seen anything like what we will see on the trip. We will see a couple of minor league places along with some of our former players.”
Bryan Miller continued his impressive hitting with another four hit performance in the game. It was his second consecutive four-hit game.
“They will be a very tough opponent for us,” Pierce said. “They are a very good team with a lot of tradition so we will have our hands full. I am looking forward to it.”
The Trojans will wear black wristbands for the rest of the season in honor of the late Rick Miller, the father of current player Lance Miller. The wristbands will bear the initials "RM" on them.
