Corcoran Finishes Second At Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. - Jenean Corcoran continued to impress in the early portions of the cross country season. After winning one title and finishing in the Top 10 if another, Corcoran finished second in her latest race - the Tiger Invitational Saturday morning.
Running the Tiger Invitational Blue Section, Corcoran came across the line in a time of 18:23.56 to finish 15 seconds behind eventual champion Whitney Bishoff of Anderson (SC) College. She was joined in the top 15 by fellow Trojan Erika Fyrvall in 14th palce with a time of 19:28.48.
Kelly Harrington finished 37th overall with a time of 20:32.88 as the only other runner in the Top 50 for the Trojans. Other runners on the day consisted of Erin Clymer (22:33.82), Brentley Collins (22:56.03), Chontia Allen (22:57.99) and Shea Matthews (24:37.70).
The team finished eighth overall in their section with 174 points, while Columbus State won the event with 43 total points.
Meanwhile on the men's side, the Trojans ran in the Orange Section and finished 15th with 379 points while Auburn won the event with 31 total points.
Individually for Troy, Jeremy Moujoodi finished 51st with a time of 24:20.49, while Denzel Ramirez finished 58th with a time of 24:28.15. Drew Horner finished in the top 90, coming in 83rd with a time of 24:57.63 for the Trojans.
Other runners who scored points for Troy on Saturday consisted of Terrence Dixon (129th) with a time of 25:55.60, Alec Hamm (155th) with a time of 26:32.93, Adam Bradley (183rd) with a time of 27:25.23 and Drew Taylor (184th) with a time of 27:25.42.
Troy returns to action next weekend in Birmingham as they participate against some of the nation's best at the Great American Cross Country Festival.
