TROY ? The Troy Trojan soccer team will play just their third and fourth road games of the season and their first back-to-back road games when they travel to Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky for crucial SBC match-ups.
The Trojans (6-3-2, 1-1 SBC) split their first two Sun Belt matches of the season last weekend, falling 1-0 to UALR and dropping Arkansas State 1-0 on Sunday.
Troy is off to a solid start and is looking to build upon the success.
"I think our girls just have to keep a positive state of mind and know they can go in and compete with any team in our league. We had a solid week of training leading up to this weekend and we are excited to go in and compete," head coach Chris Bentley said.
Ready to squash the Trojans' momentum are the Blue Raiders who are 2-0 in the Sun Belt picking up wins over FIU and Florida Atlantic on opening weekend.
Also standing in the way is Sunday's opponent Western Kentucky is who off to an undefeated start after tying FAU and FIU last weekend.
"Both teams are strong. They finished 1-2 in the league last year, so we know they are going to be strong. Middle Tennessee is more of a physical team while WKU is more of a fit team. Both are very similar in their system of play, and we know how to defend and attack it but we just have to be prepared," Bentley said.
Live video will be available from MTSU for a fee, and free live stats will also be available at the links above. The match is schedule to start at 6:30 pm.
