Norton?s Four Goals Lead Troy

Norton scored her first three goals of the day in the first 13 minutes of the match. Ashley Davis picked up an assist on the first goal and Nicole Targa assisted on the third score.
Norton would score her fourth goal of the day in the 48th minute. Evelyn Keith contributed an assist on Norton's fourth score. Norton's four goals were her first four of the campaign and were good enough for second all-time in the
“Norton played great up top and it really aided our offensive attack,” assistant coach Chris Bentley said.
Beasley would pick up the first of her three goals in the 25th minute off another assist from
Two minutes later, Beasley would complete her hat trick when she was set-up by Ashley Davis for her final score of the match.
Beasley would not be finished contributing as she would direct a corner kick to the front of the net where Ceil Martinec would re-direct the ball with a header into the back of the net for another Trojan goal, her second of the season.
Beasley finished the day with eight points (three goals, two assists). She has four goals on the season.
Bentley was not surprised with Beasley's output.
“The more Beasley establishes herself, the more everyone will see that she is capable of games like this and the more goals she will score,” Bentley said.
Davis (three assists) and Targa (one goal, two assists; first goal of season) would record three points each on the day.

Keith would cap off the scoring for the day with a goal in the 88th minute with her first of the season.
“It felt good to put some balls in the net,” Bentley said. “We were able to convert on some shots that we have had trouble with.”
“We still need to establish more consistency, but the biggest thing was we were able to put some balls in the net.”
The Trojans will begin Sun Belt Conference play on Friday at Arkansas State before traveling to Arkansas-Little Rock to conclude the road trip on Sunday.
Troy will return home on October 5 to face Western Kentucky at 3 pm. Admission to all home soccer matches is free.
