Lewis Makes First Cut on Australian Squad

The team started with 19 but four were cut during a training session in March. There will be three more cut to make a 12-man team before the World Championships in June.

The Australian Under 21 team has been announced ahead of the 2007 FIBA U21 Women's World Championships which will be held from June 29 through July 8 in Moscow Russia.Lewis is one of five named to the team playing college basketball in the United States.
The other four who were named to the team are Eleanor Brentnall (Uni of Virginia), Christina Fox (Oklahoma State), Heather Oliver (Central Arizona College) and Rachel Watman (Oral Roberts).
The 2007 tournament will mark the second time that a World Championships have been held in this age group, with an Australian team that featured future world champion defencejobs Opals Hollie Grima, Emma Randall and Laura Summerton finishing in fifth position in Croatia in 2003.
