Trojans Fall to Western Kentucky

TROY, Ala. - Western Kentucky defeated the Troy Trojans by a score of 6-0 in Sun Belt Conference action at the Troy Soccer Complex.
Troy trailed by only one goal at halftime, 1-0, following an outstanding defensive effort from the entire squad.
Western Kentucky was able to pick up five goals in the second half and take the match.
Karla Smith made eight saves for the Trojans, but allowed the six goals. She played all 90 minutes.
"This is a team that hasn't quite figured out how to win," head coach Diana Niland said. "We're very young."
"We were behind by only one goal at the half to a very good team," she said. "We just don't quite have the experience of knowing how to win yet."
Troy will face Middle Tennessee at noon on Sunday in Sun Belt Conference action. Admission to all home soccer matches is free.
