DENTON, Tex. - North Texas defeated the Troy Trojans by a score of 3-0 in Sun Belt Conference women's soccer action.

Freshman goal keeper Karla Smith made 15 saves, but allowed all three Mean Green goals. Troy (4-9, 1-4 SBC) attempted only three shots, all coming from sophomore Laura Hopson.

Troy will conclude their road trip on Sunday against Denver before returning home to kick off Homecoming Weekend on Friday, October 19 to face Florida International.
