I thought we had great balance on offense. I thought when we struggled there in the second half Lewis made some big time threes and Hairston did a good job of getting to the free throw line and converting those free throws,” head coach Michael Murphy said.
Sophomore Kylie Morrissy scored 13 points in the second half after being held to just three in the first.
Sophomore Danielle Realph posted 14 for the Trojans as she hit three for six from behind the arc and three for four from the free throw line. Realph also performed well on the boards as she grabbed nine rebounds, six of which came on defense.
We had four players in double figures and that is critical to our success. I thought we rebounded the ball very well, 16 offensive rebounds speaks for itself. I had three players close to a double-double and that speaks to their mental toughness. I was interested to see how we would play tonight coming off a big big win on Saturday,” Murphy said.
