TUSCALOOSA -- For the second straight week, Troy's women's cross country team was short-handed, but that didn't stop a strong effort from rest of the team.
Sophomore Jenean Corcoran led the team by finishing the 5K (3.1 miles) course in a time of 20:08 (33rd place in the field of 131 runners).. Not far behind was classmate Jennifer Graham in 53rd (20:41), while Meghan Macdonald was 74th in a time of 21:2. Sara Jackson was 85th (21:58), while Kimberly Tompkins rounded out the scoring in 112th place (24:51).
Troy is still awaiting the NCAA certification of freshman transfer Martyna Pietryka.
"We had solid efforts from Jenean and Jennifer today," Troy Director of Cross Country Bob Lambert. said. "Hopefully, by the time we compete at Auburn in two weeks, Martyna will be certified and ready to go."
