TROY, Ala. -- The Troy University women's basketball team will host Denver in its regular-season finale on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. The game is part of a double header with the men's team, which will tip off at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The Trojans (9-16, 3-11) are looking to complete the season sweep of the Pioneers (14-12, 7-7). The Trojans picked up their only road win of the season when they topped DU 62-57 in Denver on Jan. 28. The Trojans were led by Laura Lee Holman, who scored 22 points in that win.
The Trojans are coming off a 73-66 loss to North Texas on Thursday. The Trojans trimmed an 18-point UNT lead to seven late in the second half, but they were unable to completely close the gap.
The Pioneers are coming off a 74-71 triple-overtime win at South Alabama.
The Trojans will recognize its only senior, Alecia Jones, prior to tip off.
