Cross Country to Host Coach O Invitational

The women's two-mile race will begin at 10 a.m. with the men slated to take off on a 5K run at 10:30.
The event will take place at the Jesse H. Colley track and field complex and over the Trojan Oaks Golf Course.
Schools that will be competing in the event along with the Trojans will include Georgia State, South Alabama, Alabama State, Alabama A&M, Birmingham Southern and Auburn. Many unattached? runners will also be competing in the events.
The Coach O will be serving as a tune-up for the Trojans as they will be competing in the Sun Belt Conference Championships that will be held next weekend in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The Coach O Invitational is an event sponsored by Troy University and Coach O, Charles Oliver.
Coach O, a 1975 graduate of Troy, is now an Assistant Director of Athletics at the University of Tennessee.
We have had a wonderful relationship with Charles during my tenure at Troy and his support of our cross country and track and field programs has been one of the greatest constants in our program,? Director of Cross Country/Track and Field Bob Lambert said.
Troy will be back at full strength for the first time in four weeks for this meet.
The men will look to freshman Jeremy Moujoodi and sophomore Aadam Soorma to finish among the top runners in the field.
For the women, the Trojans will be looking towards a trio of sophomores in Jenean Corcoran, Jennifer Graham and Martyna Pietryka to help pace the team.
