Trojans Look To Rebound Against MTSU
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Troy University women's basketball team will look to rebound from its worst loss of the season when it plays at Middle Tennessee State in Sun Belt action on Saturday.
The Trojans (7-8, 1-3 SBC) are coming off a 64-36 loss at Western Kentucky on Thursday. The Trojans shot a season-low 29.8 percent from the floor in the loss, and Troy's 36 points also marked a season-low.
The Trojans are in search of their first road win of the year. Troy is 0-6 outside of Trojan Arena this season, including 0-4 in true road games. Middle Tennessee State is 6-1 at the Murphy Center in 2005-06.
The Blue Raiders (10-7, 3-1 SBC) are coming off a 59-58 win at South Alabama on Thursday. Chrissy Givens led MTSU with 19 points and nine rebounds in that win.
Saturday's game will be the third meeting in the series between the Trojans and Blue Raiders, but it is the first in almost 12 years. MTSU holds a 2-0 advantage in the series.
