Trojans Head West for First Sun Belt Road Trip

The Trojans (4-3-0, 2-0-0 Sun Belt) play at preseason favorite North Texas on Friday at 7 p.m, in UNT's first conference match of 2005. The Mean Green (5-2-2, 0-0-0 Sun Belt), dropped their first two matches, but have been unbeaten in their seven matches since.
On Sunday Troy travels to Denver where they will take on the league's preseason No. 2 team at 1 p.m. Denver plays host to South Alabama in their Sun Belt opener on Friday, and they enter the weekend at 3-5-2. Those five losses include a 1-0 loss at No. 4 UCLA and a 4-0 loss at No. 9 Pepperdine.
Megan Kosiba leads Troy offensively with three goals, all of them scored in Troy's two wins last weekend. Kosiba was selected as the Sun Belt Player of the Weeks for her efforts, which included two game-winning goals.
Brittany Stoltz is second in scoring for the Trojans, collecting two goals and an assist through Troy's first seven games. Freshman Beth McClendon and junior Teresa Herring each have scored twice for Troy.
Laura Longard has recorded two shutouts so far this season for the Trojans. She has tallied 30 saves while allowing 13 goals, and she has a 69.8 save percentage.
