Trojans to Open Conference Season Against Arkansas State

The Trojans (2-3-0) are coming off a 4-1 loss to Louisiana-Monroe on Sunday in their second match of the Jaguar Invite. In that game the Trojans matched the Indians shot-for-shot, each team tallying nine shots, including five on goal. The Trojans finished 1-1 in the Jaguar Invite, coming from behind to beat Northwestern State 2-1 on Friday.
ASU (3-5-0) comes to Troy on a two-game win streak, picking up victories over Centenary and Tennessee-Martin in Jonesboro last weekend.
The Trojans have had a diverse offensive attack, with six players accounting for Troy's seven goals through the first five games. Sophomore forward Brittany Stoltz is the only Trojans to score more than one goal for Troy. Emily Cobb leads Troy with three assists. Trojans goalkeeper Laura Longard has recorded 18 saves through the first five games and has a 2.52 goals allowed average.
