Bargmann Selected As NCAA Scholarship Finalist

TROY?” A Troy University graduate and track stand out has been selected as a finalist for the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
Belinda Bargmann, a May 2005 graduate from Longwood, Fla. with a degree in biology, was a member of the cross country and track teams at Troy University. Her accomplishments as an athlete at TROY won her the Atlantic Sun Conference "Runner of the Week" title twice last year. She was also a member of the All Conference teams in both cross country and track.
As a finalist for the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, she is eligible to be considered for one of the 29 awards available to women who were active in sports last spring. The scholarship is a one-time grant of $7,500.
As Bargmann awaits a decision from the selection committee, she is busy preparing to attend physical therapy school at the University of Florida in August.
Bargmann says that she is excited and honored to be considered for this award.
