Trojans Continue to Prepare for NCAA Regionals

Senior Belinda Bargmann led the women at the meet with her first place finish in the 1,500-meter run. Bargmann had a time of 4:32.87 in the race.
Also for the women, sophomore Carrie Wallace finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.13 seconds and freshman Tawanna Meadows placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 24.27.
The women's 4x100-meter relay team of Meadows, junior Tanisha Davis, and sophomores Shakavia Henderson and Ronella Gollman finished second with a time of 46.31 seconds.
On the men's side, junior Louis Harris was the highlight of the meet with his performance in the 200. Harris finished third with a time of 20.88 seconds.
Sophomore John Rodgers won the javelin with a distance of 183'8” and sophomore Ryan Baker finished third in the hammer with his throw of 153'1”.
Also for the men, sophomore Scott Crews finished second in the pole vault with a height of 14'7.25” and junior Michael Acree finished second in the long jump with a jump of 23'8.25”.
The Troy track and field team will be back in action on Friday at the Georgia Tech Last Chance Invitational.
