TROY, Ala. - Troy University junior Louis Harris has been named the Atlantic Sun Performer-of-the-Week for his performance at the Florida State Snowbird Invitational last Saturday.
The Tuskegee, Ala., native, Harris finished first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.66 seconds. Harris also finished second but was the first collegiate finisher in the 200 with a time of 21.67.
We were all pleased to see Louis at mid-season form in the first meet of the season,” Director of track Bob Lambert said. It also bodes well for the team since Louis is the anchor in the 4x100 team that qualified for NCAA Regionals last year and hopes to go to nationals this year.”
The Troy track and field teams will be back in action on March 12, when it travels to New Orleans, La., to compete in the University of New Orleans Invitational.
