The women's team will look to expand on last Saturday's performance at Florida State. Junior Katrina Lewis broke the school record in the discus at the FSU Snowbird Invitational and will look to perform well again this weekend.
Freshman Tawanna Meadows performed well in her first outdoor meet with a second place finish in the 100 and third in the 200.
Tawanna has had an excellent week of training and we expect her to continue performing well,” Director of track Bob Lambert said.
On the men's side, the Trojans will turn to junior Louis Harris who had a great outing last week and was named Atlantic Sun Performer-of-the-Week for his performance.
Also for the Trojans, sophomore Brandon Hughes finished third in the 1,500m and seventh in the 800m and looks to carry that performance over to this weekend.
Brandon has trained well all week and we expect him to have a good performance in the 800m and 1500m,” Lambert said.
Freshman Kate Hyslop and sophomore John Rodgers performed well in the javelin at the FSU Snowbird Invitational finishing first and fifth respectively.
Kate and John in the javelin have had a great week of training and we are looking for big things to happen for them this weekend,” Lambert said.
The competition will begin on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at Tad Gormley Stadium on the campus of UNO.
