Mississippi State Rallies to 88-77 Overtime Win

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Troy held a 16-point second half lead at Mississippi State Saturday night, but a furious Bulldog rally handed the Trojans their first overtime loss since 1981, 88-77.
Mississippi State held Troy without a field goal in overtime, outscoring the Trojans 13-2 in the extra session.
Troy tied a season-high for three-pointers, hitting 17 of 45 attempts. Bobby Dixon tallied 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, all team highs, while Cedric Jackson and Boo Ramsey chipped in 14 points apiece.
The Trojans (3-3) went up by 16 with 11:54 left in the contest, on a three-pointer by Ramsey, and were up 72-57 with 5:02 remaining, but saw the scored tied at 75 with 15 seconds left. Dixon missed a short jumper with a couple of seconds left that would have sent Troy home with its first win in seven visits to Starkville.
After seeing Dixon hit two free throws to start overtime, the Bulldogs (6-2) tallied final 13 points, including five attempts at the free throw line.
