Trojans Return to A-Sun Play With Game at FAU

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- After wrapping up its non-conference schedule on Sunday, the Troy University women's basketball team will return to Atlantic Sun play on Thursday when it plays at Florida Atlantic at 6 p.m.

The Trojans (2-7, 1-1 A-Sun) are coming off a 78-50 loss at No. 13 Vanderbilt on Sunday. Florida Atlantic (2-8, 0-3) lost in its return to conference play, falling at UCF 49-41 on Monday.

FAU leads the series 10-3. The Owls won both meetings in 2003-04, winning 69-63 at FAU Gymnasium on Jan. 24, 2004, then winning 82-69 at Trojan Arena on Feb. 16, 2004. The Owls have won the last six games against Troy, with the Trojans' last win coming on Feb. 15, 2001, when the Troy won 81-79 at Troy.

The Trojans enter the game looking to end a five-game losing steak. Troy has not played an A-Sun game since falling 62-60 at Georgia State on Dec. 4. The Trojans won their conference opener, winning 64-50 against Mercer at home on Dec. 2.
