TROY, Ala.- Troy University seniors Belinda Bargmann and Lindsey Waldrop will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., this weekend to compete in the NCAA South Regional Cross Country Championships.
At the Atlantic Sun Championships, hosted by Belmont University, Waldrop and Bargmann finished second and fifth respectively, which earned them all-conference honors.
Bargmann and Waldrop have finished top-two for the Trojans in every race but one in their four-year tenure on the team.
"Both of the ladies have been training at a very high intensity level since the beginning of the summer and now we're going to see how much hay we've put in the barn," Troy distance coach Doc Anderson said.
The top 25 finishers will advance to the NCAA National Championships at Indiana State University on Nov. 22nd, and earn all-region recognition.
The women's meet will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Harry Pritchett Golf Course.
