Carr Takes Top Spot In Basketball Ticket Blitz

The 2004-05 Troy University Basketball Season Ticket Blitz wrapped up Tuesday night with almost 1,200 tickets having been sold.
Sammy Carr took the top prize in the blitz by selling 192 season tickets. Mike Amos and Ken Vaughn tied for second with 100 season tickets sold. Greg Meeks, who was the top seller last year, finished fourth with 50 tickets sold. Jason Reeves finished fifth with 25 tickets sold.
Overall, the five teams combined to sell 1,193 season tickets for the 2004-05 Troy basketball season.
The ticket blitz teams, which were composed of athletic staff members and loyal Trojan supporters, had less than a week to sell as many 2004-05 season tickets as possible.
Even though the ticket blitz is now over, there are still season ticket packages available, for both individuals and corporate packages. Contact the Troy University Athletics ticket office at 877-878-9467.
The Troy women's basketball team will make its home debut Thursday night, November 11, in an exhibition game against a Norwegian National Team. The Trojan men will open their home season on Nov. 27 against Piedmont College. The Trojans will open the season in Virgin Islands on Nov. 20-22.
