Waldrop, Bargmann Earn All-Conference Honors

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Seniors Lindsey Waldrop and Belinda Bargmann finished in second and fifth place respectively at the Atlantic Sun Championships on Saturday, earning all-conference honors and leading the Troy University women's cross country team to a sixth-place finish.
Waldrop had a time of 18:38.87 and finished second in the 5K race behind Jenn Feenstra of Georgia State. Bargmann finished fifth in the meet with her time of 18:43.74.
The duo has finished as the Trojans top-two finishers in all but one race in their four year careers at Troy.
The women's team finished behind Belmont, FAU, Georgia State, UCF and Campbell, while the men's team finished seventh in the 11-team field.
Host Belmont swept the men's and women's team titles for the third-straight year. Belmont's Ryan Snellen won the men's individual title.
Rounding out the field for the women, freshman Amber Way finished in 37th-place with a time of 20:17.75, sophomore Meghan Macdonald had a 61st-place finish with her time of 21:26.85 and freshman Erin Kniery finished in 71st-place with her time of 22:30.15.
On the men's side, sophomore Brandon Hughes led the team with a 14th-place finish and a time of 27:56.73.
Junior Nate Hurley finished in 27th-place with a time of 29:11.96 and freshman Jordan Mahan placed 50th with his time of 31:01.26.
Also for the Trojans, freshman Michael Davis and senior Wes Birdsong finished in 63rd and 64th place respectively. Davis earned a 63rd-place finish with his time of 33:24. Birdsong had a time of 33:27.88 and finished 64th.
