Trojans fall 5-0 at Campbell

Buies Creek, N.C. - The Troy University soccer team (3-6-2, 1-2-1) dropped its second straight A-Sun match with a 5-0 loss at Campbell (6-1-3, 3-0-0) on Saturday.
Campbell's Cadian Lawrence put the Camels on the board first when she beat Troy keeper Laura Longard on a breakaway to score her sixth goal of the season. Christina Candeloro brought the score to 2-0 when she scored on a right-footed shot from 30 yards out.
Cambell's Tracy Taddonio scored on a penalty kick in the 58th minute, and Susan Persson scored just eight minutes later when she took advantage of Longard moving out of the goal.
Lin Bunce added the final score off an assist by Taddonio in the 82nd minute, her first goal of the year.
The 5-0 score matches the Trojans' worst loss of the season. It is the sixth time this year the Trojans have been shut out of a match.
The Trojans have just one day off, as they host Charleston Southern on Monday at 2 p.m.
