Women finish 12th at Auburn Invitational

AUBURN, Ala.- The women's cross country team finished 12th at the Auburn Invitational on Monday. The women's team was once again led by the senior duo of Belinda Bargmann and Lindsey Waldrop. Bargmann finished 12th with a time of 18:53 with Waldrop right behind her in 13th place and a time of 18:54. Other finishes for the women were: Meghan Macdonald (105th, 21:19), Amber Way (106th, 21:21) and Erin Kniery (108th, 21:25). On the men's side, sophomore Brandon Hughes led the men's team to a 19th-place finish. Hughes finished 58th with a time of 27:05. Junior Nate Hurley finished 125th with a time of 28:46 and freshman Jordan Mahan was 151st with his time of 29:48. Other finishes for the Trojans were: freshman Nick Lambert (167th, 31:07), senior Wes Birdsong (176th, 32:11) and freshman Michael Davis (181st, 33:06). The cross country teams will be back in action on Oct. 23, when they host the Coach O” Invitational on the campus of Troy.
