Tony Davis begins his first full season as a graduate assistant on the Troy staff. Davis, a two-time All-Sun Belt Conference selection for the Trojans, will work with the Troy defensive line. He joins the Troy staff after one season as the defensive line coach at Coffeyville Community College.
As a senior, Davis led all Troy defensive linemen with 39 tackles and the senior added 8.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks. He forced a pair of fumbles both of which came on sacks against Western Kentucky.
A native of Perry, Ga., Davis anchored the Troy defensive line as a junior with 34 tackles, six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
Davis was a two-year starter and an all-state player at Perry High School. He graduated from Troy with a degree in broadcast journalism.
