Moore previously coached Troy’s offensive line for one season in 2006.
Troy’s offensive line has been a juggernaut during Moore’s second stint with the Trojans. Troy led the country with just eight sacks allowed during the 2016 season after ranking 38th in his first season. The Trojans finished the 2017 campaign ranked sixth in offensive line efficiency and 12th in fewest sacks allowed; Troy ranked 111th nationally in sacks allowed in the year prior to his arrival.

Chunn rushed for 26 touchdowns in his final two seasons an became Troy’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns scored with 47 over his career.
Troy finished the 2016 season 10-3 with a victory in the Dollar General Bowl, the first top-25 ranking in school and Sun Belt Conference history and the best win-improvement in the country. The Trojans led the Sun Belt in scoring offense and ranked second in passing and total offense.
Moore was recognized for his accomplishments as he was a nominee for the Frank Broyles Award in 2016, which is presented annually to the nation’s top assistant coach.
Left tackle Antonio Garcia was selected with the 85th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots; he became the highest selected offensive lineman in Sun Belt Conference history. Additionally, four of his offensive linemen were named to the All-Sun Belt Team following the 2017 season.
In 2017, Troy set a school FBS record for wins as the Trojans finished the season 11-2 with a Sun Belt championship, New Orleans Bowl title and a victory at No. 22 LSU.
Moore returned to Troy after spending the previous two seasons as the assistant head coach and offensive line coach at Louisiana Tech.
Neal Brown and Moore teamed up in 2010 and 2011 at Texas Tech to produce one of the nation’s top offenses. In 2010, Texas Tech finished seventh in passing (318.9), 15th in total offense (460.2) and 23rd in scoring (33.1). The following year the Red Raiders ranked seventh in passing (345.4), 13th in total offense (470.6) and 22nd in scoring (33.8).
In 2014, Moore helped lead a drastic improvement at Louisiana Tech during the staff’s second year on the job. The Bulldogs won the Conference USA West Division and earned a trip to the Heart of Dallas Bowl after finishing 4-8 the previous season.
Moore went to Louisiana Tech after spending a year at Middle Tennessee.
The Blue Raider offensive line finished the season second in the nation in fewest sacks allowed while Middle Tennessee was 46th nationally in rushing with three different 100-yard rushers. Middle Tennessee topped the 200-yard rushing mark in five of the team’s 12 games.
A veteran of the high school and collegiate coaching ranks, Moore joined the Blue Raider staff after spending five seasons as offensive line coach at Texas Tech, including two years when Brown was the offensive coordinator.
Moore’s offensive lines at Texas Tech led the country in fewest sacks per pass attempt in 2007 and 2008. The Red Raiders allowed a sack once every 54 pass attempts in 2008 behind an offensive line that featured three All-Americans in Rylan Reed, Brandon Carter and Louis Vasquez. His 2007 unit allowed a sack once every 44 attempts.
Texas Tech won the NCAA passing title in 2007 as the Red Raiders averaged 470.3 yards per game through the air, while quarterback Graham Harrell led the nation in passing.

Texas Tech averaged over eight wins per season during Moore’s tenure and the Red Raiders played in four bowl games. Texas Tech won three of those bowl games – the 2008 Gator Bowl, 2010 Alamo Bowl and the 2011 TicketCity Bowl.
Moore went to Texas Tech with one year of collegiate coaching experience at Troy in 2006. He helped lead the Trojans to an 8-5 record and a New Orleans Bowl victory over Rice.
