2016-17 (Junior): Garnered All-Sun Belt Third team accolades in a season in which Person climbed higher in the Troy record books… Led the Trojans with 94 3-pointers to mark the third consecutive season in which he led the team in the category… Ranked second on the team with 14.8 points per game… Started 36 of 37 games and had double-digit scoring in 30 of those contests… Exploded for a career-high 39 points at home against UT Arlington on a career-high 10 3-pointers, which was just one shy of the school record set in the 258-point game against DeVry University in 1992… Was named the Sun Belt Tournament Most Outstanding Player after leading Troy to the school’s first-ever Sun Belt Tournament championship… Had double-digit scoring in all four tournament games with a high of 26 against Appalachian State in the first game and topped off with 15 points in the championship win over Texas State… Set career-highs in free throws and free throw attempts when we went a perfect 12-12 on the road against UL Lafayette… Moved into sixth place on Troy’s all-time scoring list at 1481 after finishing with a career-best 548 points on the year… Sits just 53 points shy of owning the Division I Troy record for most career points… Enters his senior year six 3-pointers short of breaking the school all-time record for made 3-pointers… Had the best free-throw shooting season of his career and second-best in the Sun Belt with an 81.8 percentage on 126-154 shooting… Ranked third in the conference with 94 3-pointers and fourth in percentage at 40.0 percent… Scored 15 points against Duke in Troy’s March Madness contest…

Made a 3-pointer in every game of the season and continued his NCAA leading streak of making at least one 3-pointer in every game to 60 games... Led the Sun Belt Conference in 3-pointers by eight and his average of 3.1 3-pointers per game also led the conference... Named Sun Belt All-Second Team... Was fifth in the conference in minutes played... Tied for 28th in the NCAA in made 3-pointers and tied for 19th in 3-pointers per game...
