2008: Despite battling a nagging foot injury all season, finished ranked as the Trojans' second leading tackler with 108 total stops (coaches film) in just 10 games ... Was a second team All-Sun Belt performer...A former walk-on quarterback who became a starter on defense for the first time this year, Woods posted double-figure totals in six of the 10 games he played in, including a season-high 24 stops in the opener at Middle Tennessee ... Was also credited with two sacks against MTSU ... He was credited with 17 total tackles in the game at LSU ... Was twice selected as the defensive player of the week for Troy – MTSU and ULL – and was named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week for his effort against the Cajuns, which included 11 total tackles, two for loss ... According to coaches film, he averaged 10.8 tackles in his 10 games played.
