Troy Set to Host Marshall Thursday Night

TROY, Ala. - Troy soccer returns to the Troy Soccer Complex on Thursday night, taking on Marshall in the Trojans' Sun Belt home opener.

Troy (1-6-2) has been out of action since last Thursday when it fell to South Alabama, 2-0, in Mobile. Despite putting five shots on goal to the Jaguars' four, South Alabama found the back of the net once in each half, while its goalkeeper turned in an impressive performance in net to record the clean sheet.

Marshall (4-2-3) makes the trip to Troy after drawing Louisiana Tech, 1-1, on Saturday. The Herd struck first in the 33rd minute but allowed the equalizer in the second half. Marshall controlled the offensive action throughout, outshooting Louisiana Tech 22-9.
