Softball Returns Home for Midweek Doubleheader with West Georgia

TROY, Ala. – The Troy softball team returns to the Troy Softball Complex for the start of five straight at home with a doubleheader against West Georgia on Wednesday, April 8, at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Both games will be aired on ESPN+.
After winning game one against Louisiana, 5-4, the Trojans (23-14, 5-7 SBC) fell in back-to-back games, despite battling in extra innings in game three, 5-4 (eight innings). At the midpoint of Sun Belt Conference play, the Trojans are in a three-way tie with Louisiana and Georgia Southern for seventh in the standings. They are five games back from Marshall in first and two games ahead of the cutline for postseason play.
Makaley Boswell claimed her 100th career hit for Troy in game one against the Ragin' Cajuns with a single to left field. This season, her batting clip (.413) sits third in Troy single-season history, while ranking sixth in the conference. Her career batting average of .357 sits third all-time.
